Back in the summer of 2003, I started writing my first furry story for the Spontoon Island universe. The site (moderated by 
Heywulf) is set on an alternate furry Earth in the mid to late 1930s. I originally expected this story to run for about ten chapters.
Fifteen years, 253 chapters, and somewhere over 500,000 words later, the story came to its end.
This is only Book One (Gambles); the others will be posted over the next year. But here's Book One as a Christmas present.

Ha! sounds as bad as me. Wanted to write a tale in someone else's little universe, didn't think I had much to say, maybe six little chapters, first chapter posted in '05 ...
