Yep this is where it sits now, I'm really proud how this is coming out, Being for a small caliber gun I need to slim it down some, which will be obvious is a few other pics I am gonna do of it. Really love the way the Kings wood pistol grip is coming out, as I have done only a little shaping on the forearm. this is mostly because I lack the tools at the moment to barrel the action. (Soon!)

So hey, I'm curious - you say you are a gunsmith. Do you make the guns completely from scratch or buy kits and just shape the wood to fit the machined parts? Gunsmithing is something I've been vaguely interested in for a while, although due to California state laws and lack of knowledge about them, lack of time, finance and tools, I've never gone beyond daydreams.
If you make your own parts from scratch, how do you handle the licensing?

Depends on the part some stuff I have to buy (barrels and Recievers being the most obvious but I do make my own bolt handles and of course Stocks from scratch) To be a pure "gunsmith" no sales involved requires no licensing right now. If i was to start selling that would be different, an FFL is required for retail business though commission (which is how I operate) can be seen as person to person sales which requires only good record keeping (at least how it works in CO)
looks nice and i have an unrelated question i have an old single shot shotgun (pretty shur its a stevens model 107) and i was wondering if i took it to a gunsmith could he/she take a shotgun barrel for a pump/semi ato shotgun and modify it into a shotgun barrel for my single shot
