OK SO... I fucked this up a little. Nearing the end, somehow it got bumped out of alignment and the final border was off center, way too the left (top of the right one) so I took it off and tried to re-hoop it in the right spot. I think I did an ok job, and got it MOSTLY in the right place, but it was still a little messy around the hair. Overall needs some adjusting, and I might swap color choices, but it came out really cute I think!
I definitely need to try and not layer so much thread (around the eye and the name parts got really clunky/thick). I should have a new base fabric coming sometime this afternoon, and more thread showing up tomorrow~! I think a current issue is... all the thread I have is SUPER Shiny, so the light reflection off it in pictures washes out a lot of the color, and ends up looking MUCH lighter embroidered than it does on the spool. Like the dark purple under the hair looks almost black on the spool, but is a nice dark wine color in photos/embroidered, so, getting used to how colors react. I think having more matte threads will also help light color pop on top of darker tones, and all the patterning done in the crescent will be a lot more visible than it is, but I LOVE the subtle transition it has going on... gotta learn how to get a better gradient, but it's good so far *nods*
