There's the sort of artist that is able to create landscapes and sceneries that take your breath away. As a photographer, we say it's the light, but that's based on existing scenes. With this artist, the entire scene needed to be created, with the light accentuating the scene and creating the mood which in my book is a whole lot harder and what I admire so much about thie particular artist. This person is high on the list of artists I would love to recommission but have not had the chance to, and even getting this slot was unexpected.
Backstory about this scene: I did not go to Hong Kong until 2014, and it was something I had been wanting to do for long before that. When I finally was able to go, this was how I flew there: First class in the nose of a Boeing 747 on board Hong Kong's flagship airline, Cathay Pacific. I'll admit that it was partly done out of spite, partly done as a way to "catch up" to my family's multiple trips to Hong Kong (they always complained how arduous and uncomfortable it was making the trip in economy class), and a complete gamble. I didn't have much money at the time and this was an award ticket paid for with loyalty points which are subject to availability at the whims of the airline, and I had just gotten into this game. It was my first major award ticket redemption and my first time flying international first class. Did I enjoy the experience? Yes. Hell yes.
I wanted to evoke and recapture those feelings and memories in a picture and this was the final result, my fursona enjoying a glass of Krug champagne dining on caviar.
