ive been drawing digitally for nearly six years now, wow! and for christmas this year i got my first drawing pad! ive been using a laptop to draw everything so far, so for the past 6 years ive been using a mouse to draw. i dont recall posting anything traditional on here, so this will be the first drawing that i didnt use a mouse to draw. and also the first one where i actually use my dominant hand, since im left handed and use my right hand to operate my mouse, heh
heres the funny thing, im so used to using a mouse that the pad felt very unnatural at first and its gonna take a lot of getting used to. in particular my lines felt very shaky no matter how fast or slow i went. by the time i finished this picture though, i think i started to get the hang of it. still not too sure though, i might shift between using the pad and just using my mouse for the time being. i might even experiment a bit with other drawing programs, particularly firealpaca and/or wick
oh the way, the laptop and mouse depicted in this picture are my real laptop and mouse, and the little box of candy is another present i got this christmas. i also got some money, a gift card, and a kirby blanket! maybe in a future art ill depict that too
the background is based here in a 'Roche Bobois', a french retail store located in rivière du rempart, mauritius! this is one of those african island countries, specifically to the east of madagascar. fun fact, dodo birds were native to mauritius!
