It had been 30 years since the defeat of Dragonhand Azya and the end of the demon invasion, Azya's keep had been thoroughly searched and picked clean of stolen artifacts and treasure obtained throughout her reign. Adventurers had cleared out the dungeons and catacombs of remaining lesser demons and monsters and the keep had started to fall into disrepair, but it was still far from abandoned as a number of scholars were still pouring over Azya's research notes and experiments still left in her laboratory and the many arcane tomes in the library. Though many of her experiments had been of unspeakable horror there was still much valuable results and theories which could be properly and more ethically researched so all the suffering inflicted by Azya would not have been in vain and something good might still come of it. Despite there being no immediate danger the researchers had kept a number of guards around, a mix of adventurers and soldiers, just in case some trap or mechanism would activate and release some still undiscovered monster or demon, though over the years the research team had grown quite confident that the guards weren't really needed. They would be proven wrong...

One night a portal opened in the hall opposite to the library, on the exact time and day of Azya's defeat all those years ago, and when the guards and researchers went to invesyigate they witnessed an unusually largeLipane wearing armored green robes stepping thourh the portal and quietly sizing up the group of guards as a long dragon like tail lashed behind her. Soon after three more average sized Lipane stepped through all wearing similar but different colored robes and carrying Vossen style weapons. A silence fell over the room which seemed to last an eternity as both groups assessed to situation untill the one in blue robes broke the silence first claiming they were the daughters of Dragonhand Azya and demanding to know who was inhabiting their home and if they had any allegiance to Azya. Unfortunately the head of the research team had barely any chance to explain as some of the guards decided to attack, looking to make a name for themselves by defeating these supposed offspring of Azya who had caused so much suffring durign her rule. They were swiftly and easily dispatched by the four who aparently know the Vossen martial arts as well as still being capable of powerful magic, ending the battle before it even began. After the fight the one in blue spoke again, ordering the researchers to collect their dead and wounded and leave to brign a message to the ones who defeated Azya to come face them if they dared. As the team made a hasty retreat one of the scholars observed the one in blue goinfg back to the portal and tossing something through it, and not long after demons started stepping through the portal as more of them opened up.

As the team sailed away from the keep they could see demons and monsters already taking guard positions on the walls, but to their relief none of them decided to give chase as they tried to get away as quickly as possible. They eventually made it back home but after what they had seen they feared for another demon invasion so soon after the last one. Unfortunately the group of adventurers that had defeated Azya had mostly disbanded and gone back to their respective homelands so it would be a while to get the message to them. In the meantime the northern kingdoms assembled an army to try and stop these daughters of Azya and another potential invasion before they coould spread their influence too far like their mother had, but their entire force got defeated before even reaching the gates of the keep, so their only hope now rested with the advenurers accepting the challenge.
