My first fursona, Régulo or Reggie for short. Drawn for me by the lovely Trinitite  Trinitite. Régulo is a half copperhead snake half man hybrid known as a Progeny of Yig. Yig is the Father of Serpents in the locecraftian mythos. Yig is remarkable for the fact that he actually cares about his children and that he closely interacts with humanity. If Yig is fond of a particular regular earth snake, he will bestow his mark, a symbol of protection, upon it. If a human brings harm to a marked snake, they will be cursed to transform into a Progeny of Yig. The reason why his name is Spanish is because Yig’s chief story, The Curse of Yig, takes place in the Mexican/American deserts. I can’t thank Trinitite enough for this precious boy!
