Many years ago, when we used to have old wooden window frames, the glass would occasionally get covered with frost, which created elaborate patterns. As a kid I was told that it was Ded Moroz decorating people's windows for the New Year. This drawing represents the childish wonder and joy in light of the supposed miracle.
