Well, with the last day of 2024 upon us, I thought I should reflect on all of the work I've made this year and put together a highlight reel, especially seeing the ones done by Exusiasword and other friends o' mine.
I remember being in a bit of an art slump at the start of the year, not helped by my laptop being sent off for repairs, but things started to pick up more from April and throughout the summer- if not just for a trip to Yorkshire in England I shared with my family, then for events and sales like the Eggwives commissions or Returners RIOT!! series.
I'll admit, Sonic/mobian content has sorta dominated my output throughout the latter half of the year, but I feel confident in the breadth of subjects I was able to cover and especially in the shift from Photoshop to Clip Studio Paint as my main drawing software. I'm a lot more capable of comics and backgrounds, I feel more assured about my shading/lighting style, and overall I'm just very happy with how I've developed as both a creative and as a self-promoter.
