Christmas is a time of gathering, a time of love and appreciation. Let your family know that you love them, even if things are tough between you and them. Show them your appreciation for helping you grow up to be the way you became. Let them know, even if you don’t give them a present. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year, everyone. Make sure to show them that you love them, even if you are estranged. Just call them up and give them this little seasons greetings. You only get one family on this world, show them that you do care, even if you feel like they don't deserve it.

Mema doesn't get to spend the holidays like everyone else. Her mother has passed long ago into the flow of time; her brother lives in the Carolinas. There are things that she needs to realize about those she works with at Plaisir. And, it takes a very special party, and a very big screwup, from Thomas, to help her see that.
