Remind me of a messed up battle in Halbe near my hometown (attempt of remainings army-part's to escape direction west what ended for most of them in mass-graves). Gestapo and SS-guy's get so paranoid about deserteurs that they shooted regulary Wehrmacht's soldairs even if they just changed positions like ordered. During this fight the army tought it would be just a attempt to keep discipline, later they found out the SS done so much shit in the east that they just was frightened to get catched after capitulation.

Wow! Thank you for the detailed story. I was inspired to draw it after seeing the last officers' struggle in the movie Downfall.

I have researched a lot about this part of our history, it's covering up with the movi which is mainly very authentic because a few secretarys from the shelter survived (...their claiming "we don't have known anything about what happened in the concentration-camps" in the intro is of course highly questionable)
