I think if you look really hard (or not at all) you can probably tell I was sick and really needed a nap instead of doodling but here we are.
I think I would move the fish joke over to be apart of the same page and build up some tension before she starts snarling.
I want it to be a little bit of a on the edge of your seat sort of moment only for the focus to be on the visitors they're about to have.

Sir Blackwood is sort of.... I'm not sure if there's a good term for it... toxic positivity maybe? He knows damn well that they're in a bit of trouble. He wasn't supposed to be out in the wilds this long, she's hurt, and they're just scraping by. But he does it with a smile because he feels like he needs to carry this whole show on his own two shoulders and if he's not acting like they're fine then they'll be worse off for it. I certainly want to build this feeling of quiet melancholy for him as the two carry on.

There's a lot of wanting to be gentle and vulnerable, but hiding behind jokes and literal teeth because of their shared fear of being hurt.
