Coming back from another trawl at her preferred thrift store, Emma unpacked a vinyl record that she swore the person behind the counter had told her was classic punk rock. Removing the record from its sleeve, she noticed that the label on it was yellowed and torn, any text that might have signified what its contents were having long since faded.
"Whatever," she muttered to herself, lifting the needle on her phonograph, which she had also thrifted several months earlier. There were several seconds of silence, nothing but the needle dragging along the grooves, before a few tinny notes began to croon from the horn. Emma wasn't sure what exactly the noises were supposed to be at first. It sounded chaotic, hard to initially identify, before the sounds seemed to even out, separating into the dulcet tones of an orchestra of string instruments, horns, woodwinds, and other classical instruments.
"Seriously? Was this what they meant when they said it was CLASSIC music?" Emma glared annoyedly at the record spinning on the player for several moments, before huffing and tending to some other business around her room. She started reorganizing her closet, putting away some of her laundry, and shoving some other loose items under her bed. The record continued to play, and as it did, the music slowly began to sound...better, somehow. Emma wasn't sure, maybe she was just getting a bit more into it?
She decided to try giving this music, whatever it actually was, an honest shot, sitting down in her chair and looking at the phonograph. There was something in it that was appealing, but she wasn't sure what it was yet. She listened more closely, the music seemingly sounding a lot better now than it had when it first started. The notes of each individual instrument were more voluminous, carrying more depth than she thought records were capable of. Emma began to feel a fluttering swell in her heart as she listened, her mind beginning to swirl as she envisioned an extravagant ballroom, filled with royal dancers in colorful dress. The music resounded all around her, looping through her ears, and reshaping her thoughts.
She felt a pressure building in her head, the music swirling and swirling, faster and faster, that feeling of joy within her heart becoming more than she could deny! In one great, sudden burst, her clothing billowed out, transforming into a flowing, yellow ball gown! Flowing out with her dress, her hair began to lengthen, snapping her hair tie as it grew down the length of her back! Even her breasts burst outward, filling out to a more indulgently royal size! Emma remained seated, classic symphonies and stately dance steps running through her head, pushing out all of her rude, rebellious mannerisms. She began to blush at her previous rashness and arrogance. There was only room left for joyful thoughts, the thoughts of a prim and proper princess...
Her choker reshaped itself into a regal necklace as a golden crown appeared and settled onto her head, her hair lifting itself into an ample bouffant, makeup appearing on her face. The music rearranged itself, settling into a rotating halo-like ring behind Emma, continuing to sound as it bestowed itself to her. She open her eyes, which glowed a radiant pink under the music's influence, and stood up with a posture befitting a princess.
"Oh, how silly of me. How could I have forgotten about such a classic waltz?" she asked aloud. "Oh, this won't do. A princess such as myself cannot dance alone. I must find a fitting dance partner, whether they be a dashing prince, or another comely princess..." she looked out her window, towards town, eyelids fluttering. "It should not prove overly difficult, anyone worthy of being my partner at the ball should easily be able to learn an appreciation for classical music..."
