New from SaarkelleEliv
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all had a nice holiday season. Figured I’d take this moment to express my thoughts on the Mufasa movie. It was interesting to say the least. There was parts I liked and disliked. Though if you want to see my thoughts in a more relevant post, let me know below. Other than that, enjoy the story!

It took a little while of walking, but Simba and Nala found a place to rest and shelter from the cold and the snow that was falling around them. After that, sleep didn’t take long to follow. The two slept beside one another closely, using their bodies for warmth, and to warm up the cubs currently growing big and strong within Nala herself.
However, something stirred within Nala to wake her up, whether it be the litter she was growing or something in her mind, the lioness’ eyes opened. When the haze of her slumber cleared she could see something odd on the distance. Like some kind of light in the sky. As she saw that the snow had stopped falling, Nala heaved to her paws slowly and stepped slowly out into the snow again, leaving Simba behind her as she waddled out. Her pace quickened a little as she rounded the corner of their den and found a ledge that dropped to the side of the mountain. It was at this moment that she found the source of the strange hue.
High up in the cloudless sky above, greens and blues shimmered and danced about. Nala had heard of lions appearing in the clouds to give guidance to their progeny, but this was something she’d never even heard of. Lights literally streaming and falling across the stars like a great flowing spectral river. The sight left her breathless, a long exhale leaving her mouth, her breath foggy from the cold. The temperature only distracted her slightly, her cubs squirming inside for the warm of the den. She’d heed them soon enough, but Nala just need to watch for a moment longer as she imagined that her mother and father were up there dancing together, just as Sarafina told her they’d be just before she passed away. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she managed to get herself under control before she managed to speak one word aloud.
“So beautiful…” Nala breathed. Her noise detected a scent behind her, but she didn’t turn as Simba came up beside and muzzled his mane into her shoulder. The former queen sighed with a smile, welcoming her beloved mate as the two of them watched the lights until they disappeared…
