This chapter had me actually experience a bit of a panic attack while writing it. I intended for the Emperor to be the kind of villain who could be civilly spoken to, for the most part. But he’s still also a narcissist, and his behavior of talking right past Phoenix MASSIVELY creeps me out.
Floren’s back to her regular self. It’s been an interesting experience, writing out an entire longterm physical AND mental TF and going through all of the character hurdles involved. I always loved finding those in media and never thought I’d get to actually write one myself.
