I'm stuck at my parents' house with no car and limited Internet access, a week away from Anthrocon. I've been in this house since Sunday afternoon, chain-watching movies, including the whole first season of Dr. Who (awesome), eating peanut M&Ms and making a new fursuit. One way or another, I will get to AC with a new suit. I may be malnourished and no longer capable of communicating with other human beings, but I will emerge victorious.
I hate making feet, so they came first. Silicone paw pads from flurrycat. They're super comfy, tho the paw pads are so squishy I wobble a little :p

Thanks! I just used a pair of slip-on shoes I found at a thrift store for $5 (specifically, a brand-spanking-new pair of these: http://www.dillards.com/product/Ske....._301_502669923 . My mom nearly had a heart attack when she saw that I'd glued upholstery foam toes on them :p )
well that's good :3 I wonder if silicone cleans up better then latex? I assumed my pink latex pads would clean up easy, but then I stupidly walked across asphalt and...well...I've got black scuffs that just refuse to scrub out. blegh.
Anywho, they still look lovely! And I really love the way the white looks against the pink. :3

also my friend has white feetpaws with fur bottoms and simple fleece pawpads. She has only just started using them and though they have gotten preeetty dirty just in the convention hotel, scrubbing them with a bit of woolite made them look pure white again :3 Not sure how long that would last with longer term wear, but it's an idea!
See, I love no-pill fleece, and I used it for the handpaws on my last suit. It worked wonderfully and blended with the fur very nicely, but I wanted something bolder this time, and perhaps more durable. And these pads are freaking cute. We'll see how much I regret it :3
And silicone is super duper durable, and incredibly easy to clean. But now I will be looking out for asphalt o-o

oh no I totally agree with you. Latex and silicone paw pads are just WAY cuter then fleece pads, and they last longer too! I know I've seen no-pill fleece paw pads after a year or so looking pretty raggity. I do like the look of those fleece pocket paw pads though. Like the ones
used to make. Those look pretty nice :3 Yeah I'm sure just regular indoor wear and tear will be easy to clean up on them feets! Just make you some sandals for if you go outside! <3
