12/26/'24-GCLF winners: 1/15 Oakley-Full East side (1/5)
WELCOME! (Again for 2024.) If you are a fan of the show on the US channel ABC, The Great Christmas Light Fight: https://abc.com/show/1e6aba98-1799-4cc5-9fef-9c4439e0a55d , I have gone on this date to see these houses that have won the prize of $50 thousand and won the trophy. I did this as a good keepsake as these houses were great in their own way. I have a good memory of the houses when I went to them, and I feel entertained by what they had to offer. Yes, if it is the northern hemisphere, trimming the house is fun for many, and the owners of them aren't in for the money only, but for the pride, and the joy of having to cheer visitors up in seeing their works of art. I do like these-they are good local landmarks! I will agree, that for a house to be in lights for the holidays, it is a great time if you are ever on vacation to enjoy the Christmas Sprit in the area.
Story here is that I would have fursuited and visited the house just like the Romberios in Novato, CA ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/34338147/ I have 15 pictures!) when they won the 2019 GCLF, but my fursuit head was damaged and can't be used again. However, that did not stop me from going, and I felt that if there is such a house that won such a contest, I feel that after the Romberios posting since many FA users looked at it with glee and even faved them, I decided to do it again fursuit or not-I feel that everyone all over the world if they can't see the ABC show, they should see what my home metro area should have in making everyone all cheery and bright.
And so, enough chitchat, let's begin!
For the house listed here compared to Livermore and in way back, Novato, this one is more simple. As the family chose to have just a sidewalk display, they have trimmed it so then you can have the spectacle by watching at the sidewalk. This one, you will have to be there to enjoy the house because the exhibit is coordinated to go to the music, and as you look successively through the pictures, watch closely at the lights as in some cases, the same bulbs have a different color. They are carefully coordinated by a program to give different patterns, designs and shows-it also has Christmas music on for you to listen to like "Walking in a Winter Wonderland", "Let It Go", "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear", "Candy Cane Lane" and many others. There are some screens that show a scene, but do look at the trees as they too show the scene as well. If it is a show you want to see, then you should come here! And note, it did win the contest for 2024 WHEN JUDGING WAS HELD IN 2023. Therefore, they have duplicated almost exact trim they won for everyone to see for 2024. They did very well, really!
(If you want to see the episode where they starred and that Carter Oosterhouse was the judge, this is the link, and do listen to the music they used-they are #1 in the video: https://abc.com/episode/fabc30dd-470b-42cf-b1c5-79f9433616df/playlist/PL553044961 )

(Before going to this one, I recommend seeing first the bigger, and more colorful Livermore house from Deacon Dave Rezendes-they also won $50,000, and are 25-40 miles and county line south of this one: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/59313596 [<< Link is to Picture 1-there are close to 35 pictures of the Livermore house!])
This house is from the Wright family and this is their address:
733 Solitude Drive
Oakley, Ca
94561-2299
(This is NOT the city of OAKLAND!)
