This was actually my idea for the scene, as the lovable (if not TOO bright) Shifty Dingo seemed the type to walk his dream girl over the mud since he doesn't have a jacket to spread over it. Nutsy might've suggested just walking around the mud, but why deny her loving boyfriend a chance to play the hero?
