I have a striped hyena character in my current story. When my human character applies for a job, she's the personnel director. She gives him a test to see if he qualifies to work for the company and stands rather close to him. He's nervous about a hyena standing so close to him and explains he's nervous about the hyena bite force. She smiles and walks a safe distance away. (I really need to get her drawn.)

You should totally have a drawing made.
I always like when anthro animals maintain some of the more subtle characteristics of their feral inspirations and how those characteristics might interface with other characters, human or otherwise.

My anthros are GELFs and because of this, many of the feral qualities were removed at their creation. However, some things weren't deemed important enough to be removed although female spotted hyenas do still have a very high testosterone count making them more dominant over spotted hyena males. In a short story I wrote, "Beyond Appearances", I have a human interacting with a spotted hyena female. When she tries to dominate him, he allows one slap but when she tries to slap him a second time, he takes her down, puts her into a half-nelson, and informs her that she would never be allowed to strike him again. As a result of his standing up to her, she becomes attracted to him and they eventually become VERY close.

I am planning on having my striped hyena character soon. Because I believe she would be a nice looking character.

Even more so, the characteristics of the four-wheel drive model that exist in GELFs. That means someone deliberately included those characteristics, not leaving it up to evolution or natural selection.

That's true, especially since unlike Style Wager's GELFs, mine were deliberately created and, as we all know, accidents happen. (Or maybe they weren't accidents.)

She's a striped hyena, a species that isn't commonly used as a character. I like it.
