The programing of Eric is now mostly complete. His body has been fully roboticized and his systems are now running under their own power. Most of the cables have retracted and now let the robot eagle stand on his own. The cable in his rear is now just pumping some extra energy into his system before it detaches. Everything seems to be in order and the aliens now have a powerful new robot servant to use at their discretion...

This one happened to be my least favorite of the 5 personally. Not for how it came out but because it lacks something. I don't even know what but I feel something is missing. However I do believe he is great at doing the "less is more" effect you mention. It works great at times.
