This is a wonderful commission I got from Fred Perry when he was offering commissions through Antarctic Press. The character is a fan-chara I created for a variety of unsubmited fanfiction projects and one Gundam project on Anime Addventure (his debut) named Kou Uramecha. This pic is a "pose scene" from a fanfiction story I'm co-writing with Robster80 entitled GWar, a Sci-Fi yarn mixing Gundam and Xenogears mecha with some Star Wars and various Anime and fan-chara props. In the story Kou is the pilot of Weltall, a Gear with a long dark history, and a power that can either save or ruinate the universe.
Add the fact that Kou has his own secrets and traumas, and a shared past and secret history linking him and Weltall as saviors and devils. Despite all these factors both boy (despite looking 20-ish here, Kou is 14 when Gwar starts) and machine are tied together, they're friends and partners, each needing the other since they trust few and it often feels half the universe wants them dead or wishes to exploit them.

The story this is made for is actually done, it's just being edited as Rob and I wrote the majority of it using AIM since writing in real time with a friend helps with bouncing off character reactions, instant feedback and implementing new ideas on the fly. Tho' said editing process is gonna take awhile given this story consists of "Four Books" consisting of 20-40 chapters per.
I check your page often, I oughta go re-check. I'm thinking if I ever get the chance I may have Fred do Kou with Weltall-2 and then Xenogears itself.
Be nice if Square would re-make Xenogears, I mean yeah with the original development team gone and their attempts to make Xenosaga "The back-story, a Xenogears-new and the sequel and finale" blew up due to exec meddling...well a gamer can dream.

For me even just a graphical face-lift, add in the scenes that had to cut out, redo the segment in disc 2 into a full-blown set of scenes, better voice acting (and actual sync the voices to the lips), and maybe a re-mastered music score (or not I love the original soundtrack) and boom, people WILL buy it. Hell lookit all the Final Fantasy remakes, Square has a market for people wanting remakes/upgrades to their older beloved games.
