Dies was exposed to some dark gaia energy that was seeping out of weird raygun attached some destroyed space armada debris that landed nearby.
As the sun began to set, a pulsing throughout his entire body shook him and knocked him forward onto his hands and knees. As he gritted his teeth, the nails on his hands and feet grew and sharpened into massive claws. Blue and greyish white tints of fur spread from his chest and arms. A snarl slipped out as teeth sharpened to fangs and he raised his head to howl in the darkening night sky watching the moon rise in front of him.
Then the jazz band walked by and started to play.
