⋆ Sirius Katz (‘Sirius' is the brightest star in the sky, located in the constellation of the Big Dog; ‘Katz’ — from cohen tzedek — ‘the righteous priest') is a 35-year-old priest in a local church. He is considered the most benevolent holy father, who, according to all the laws of service, will help his neighbor and the weak, give them a place among the same devoted believers as himself .
⋆ Sirius himself was born into an ordinary family of ordinary workers, and his peculiarity is not only the color transmitted by mixing the blood of his parents (northern and spotted deer; spots can be seen on his ears, the dark part of his chest and back, as well as his leg), but also two pairs of arms. Parishioners believe that this is his ‘gift from God’, which foreshadowed his becoming a priest .
⋆ Katz never misses divine services, with the exception of days during the full and so-called "bloody" moon or crescent moon. Parishioners believe that this is due to Sirius' desire to protect ordinary people from the ‘evil influence' for which the full moon is famous. None of the parishioners knows the exact reasons, or whether Sirius has unusual marks on his back, or why the holy father stays late at church .
