Ursine Frontiersman
Decided to shock and awe
Brombear out of the blue since he's been a good friend and besides, we frequently commiserate over the phone.
Plus he's into cowboy action shooting and frontier sports with black powder weapons. Plus figured he'd like a old time image with a long musket.
Plus odd how Bear is not listed among the species for selection.

In the movie "The Patriot," with Mel Gibson, I LOVED how they showed that, when he was engaging with the first British column, atop the hill. I wonder how long her practiced doing that (Loading the pan), 'cause he literally *SNAPPED-POPPED* with his execution of it?!

Read the historical book, hell, I don't even remember when?! (H.S.?) LOVED it.
The movie/adaptation? uhm,,, no. did not luv that. at all.
Papa taught us about black powder, 'Ball-and-Cap,' etc.. One thing he kept stressing to us was to always respect handling (Whether melting down lead shot/reloading) lead, and to never underestimate all the many ways it can truly f-up your body/mind. I've been extremely leery of that metal all this life (Only asbestos freaks me out more, giving his heavy equipment business and all the work/operation we did.).
I can't imagine being in a situation where I'd voluntarily put lead ball into my maw, even if it granted me a few seconds speed in reloading. Then again, I've never faced off with an enemy that was shooting back at me while bearing a black powder platform. I suppose if it's a choice between living through the engagement, and dying of neuropathy/dementia, I'd choose the latter? (Personally, I'd really hope for a super fast, quick/painless enemy ball to my brain pan than dying unable to control myself/think, but that's just me?)
