You find yourself on an abandoned space station, what once were humanoid creatures are now but dried up stains adorning the walls. Besides some radio caches everything is wiped. Most cashes hold nothing but static, incoherent murmurs, and some talk of something that snuck on board.
As you explore you find most systems dilapidated, but operable, and considering life support isn't exactly optional, you turn it back on.
In the bellows of the space station something got brought back to life, something big. It was it's central power core. It needed but a mere jumpstart from the emergency power relays you just turned back on. However, it's not distributing power as one might expect. It's power is being syphoned... Exponentially. Within minutes the enormous contraption drains, and dies. The backup power turns back on, and through emergency flood lighting you start following the trail of burned in relays through which the power was syphoned.
Some hours later you find yourself in a remote level of the station. The technology here looks... off. As if tempered with, repurposed. Recognisable, but none of it goes where it's supposed to go. As you explore the chamber you find a vat, sunken into the floor. It's liquid contents glows an ominous blue. But appears peaceful. As you approach the liquid disturbs, and starts spilling out...
