This is the flag of Equance, the country of anthro equines. The green color means life, while the red means power. The rising Sun symbolizes the light and the mountain and the horseshoe symbolize the faith.

In the ancient times the form of the goverment of Equance was a feudalistic kingdom. This kingdom was ruled by two rulers (mostly a king and a queen) and the council of noble equines, known as Hippodrome. The Hippodrome didn't have a leader, however it wasn't democratic formation because the members got their title after their birthright.
3000 years later this type of leadership was replaced by one ruler (a king or a queen), the Senate of Equines and the Council of Elders. The Senate is led by the chanchellor who was elected by democratically for 5 years (he is able to be reelected twice). In Equance every 20 year-old equine has right to vote, regardless of his/her sex, or specie. The Council of the Elders has maximum 15 members, who are scientist and older than 55. The main purpose of the council is to control the Senate and the ruler. A law only comes to force, if it is accepted by the Senate, the Ruler and the Council of Elders.
