"If the Dawn bringer brought forth near endless amount of stamina and magicka, then the Essence bringer would be its counterpart as it drains anything, giving either Taru himself or his allies more energy to spend on during combat."

"While he can also use the Essence Bringer on his allies, strangely enough the power doesn't seem to drain those he consider as friends or allies but seemingly copies the energy and gives it out to anyone that needs it."

Background

Before Taru met Nira and became part of the crazy train that is the Moron Squad, he was just a simple thief. Part of a sky pirate group known as the Skyshard Drakes, run by his Father Therence Frost while his mother helped out in the ships infirmary as a healer and a cook.

He also has a twin sister by the name of Hikari who unlike him, trained in the art of warrior monk as she wants to help people in a different way that isn't stealing or sabotaging corrupt, tyranical governments and mob bosses. As their father is the leader of the sky pirates, leading the fight against a corrupt government that is oppressing the people with other fellow outcasts that taken up the arms to fight against the tyrants.

Officially, the Dominion Ruby and the Emerald Conclave doesn't support Skyshard Drake and other pirate groups... Unofficially, the two major powers secretly support these groups and helps them in whatever way they can without tipping off that they're trying to overthrow certain problematic kingdoms and nations that are known to be either genocidal, oppression and corruptions as the two major powers wants these countries either taken care off or having the leaders replaced with more opened minded leaders that cares about their people and nation instead of trying to line their pockets.

That's what Taru been doing as a young teen, helping his dad while serving as either a thief or a scout.

So when he got a mission from pops about helping finding green magical rocks, he definitely wasn't sure if his old man was off his rocker again or someone from either the Dominion or the Conclave has gone insane.

But mission pays great sums of money and they need it to keep their operation and liberations going, so Taru accepted and head toward one of the towns where he happens to be friends with two other teenagers his age; Kaiba Trinity and Miran Lunathar.

Former a son of a CPU (Civil Protection Units) cop who has connections while the latter just happens to be a friend he made as a kid when his parents stayed in the town for a while.

So while searching for clues and what exactly these "Emerald shards" really were, he stumbled upon a dark furred Vexend girl harassed by three other teenagers; a Banith girl, a human boy and a fellow Kreena boy. So being the good guy he beat them up and told them to scram, before turning to the Vexend girl asking if she was alright which she was...And then he asked which she prefer, giving him money or her belongings as he tries to rob her.

Needless to say this is how Taru and Nira met, literally saving the damsel in distress and then try to rob her.

What a hero.

But thankfully he was simply (half) joking but was surprised to find out she was friends with Miran, which he apologised and offered to buy her dinner as apology for the robbing her blind joke. Which she didn't take up the offer and told him to take a hike before leaving irritated.

It wouldn't be later at night that Taru would encounter her again when he partnered up with kaiba when they discovered a good amount of people, including Kaiba's younger sister, were kidnapped by slavers and followed after them to stop them. He and Kaiba teamed up with her and Miran to take down the slavers as it was discovered they were working with cultists worshipping the archdevil Yazzu'kra. In the end, the four teenager manage to beat them and to Taru's surprise, they were holding onto one of those emerald shards that he was hired to look for and went to grab it.

....Only to discover after letting Miran to look at it that it teleported back to him, not leaving his side at all which freaked him the hell out as this was not what he was expecting.

After some explanation from Nira what the shards really were about, he was shocked as hell to discover that the shards he was hired to look for are in fact the shards of the Soulcore of a legendary Guardian that banished the Void demons and defeated the Trickster of the Void. And now he is stuck with the shard until they find the rest and repair it, which also makes him a big target too for a lot of people that wants it.

Annoyed as hell and worried for the safety of his family and friends within the Skyshard Drakes, he agrees to join Nira in searching for the rest of the shards and reaching Ankharra where her parents are currently located. Kaiba and Miran also joining in, as not only are they worried for their friends but also some of the cultists manage to escape which means they won't be safe either till they reach Ankharra and repair the Soulcore.

And so, Taru joined the newly formed group as he and Nira would encounter a lot of strange and yet amazing things on their journey.

The biggest event for him was when some mad Velkan hating Vexend man wanted to kill Nira for being a half Velkan, believing her and the rest of the Velkan people are nothing but traitors that abandoned the Vexend to the Void demons many millennia ago before the Shattering cast a spell that would have killed her, if not for Taru taking the shot and lost his right arm.

However, before the Mad Vexend mage could finish both him and Nira off, a while ago the two manage to find another shard that at first believed to be Zeta's soulcore... Only to discover that while yes it was part of his core once but for some reason it was blue and had lots of magic coming out of it that was more attuned toward the aspect of Ethereal than Ultra which Zeta's main power was attuned to.

What was stranger with this shard is that it didn't hold any fragmented soul, just pure magical power encased within the crystal shard.

Well turns out the blue shard sensed the danger Taru was in and the loss of his limb, it exploded into magic as it merged within him and formed a whole new right arm incased in rock like carapace. Healing Taru up and out of instinct, pointed his arm at the mad mage and accidentally drained two third of his mana and used the gathered energy to blast the mad mage back, injuring him severely.

Ever since then, before he had talents of becoming a mage if his interest wasn't in speedy stealth combat, now suddenly he can somehow weave the fabric of reality around him as he can cast spells and do things that Guardians are actually able to do, albeit barely and with no clear directions or ideas how to properly using it.

After the adventure of finding all of the shards and helped bringing Zeta back to life, he and Nira reminisce how they met and how much fun they had together as they explored, travelled, fought together that the two became really good friends over the months, with Taru not regretting his choice in joining Nira in finding the shards and wished her luck for a normal life now that all the craziness is finally over.

So the two left in good terms and a promise to meet once again, perhaps for another adventure together.

7 years later, Taru used the time to learn how to control his newfound powers as it was discovered he became one hell of a lethal magi-Thief and a battle mage, thanks to the teachings of Nazzek the wise and Elizabeth Hightower of the Graveborns. But during the 7 years, he helped his father and their group in bringing down the corrupted government that caused so much suffering in their homeland that Therence decided to change directions of the Skyshard Drakes from being sky pirates to a more proper commissionary navy that kept the skies over their home safe from any remnants of the army that served the fallen government and other pirates while keeping the people safe.

With the goal fulfilled, decided to visit his old friend Kaiba and Miran to reminisce the good old times together and hang out.

What he wasn't expecting is to meet Nira after 7 years apart, while very happy to see her again he can't help but be taken aback how utterly beautiful she became with age and how more boldly she has become too...If only her cooking was any better.

However, something unexpected came to him and his friends when Nira's mother, accompanied by Elizabeth, Zeta, Mr.Bony and Taesi about forming a guild of some kind, that is all about adventure and having a home to feel safe and happy while exploring new things.

At first Taru was a bit hesitant but realized he was basically jobless now that the matters back home is taken care of, took upon the offer to join and establishing the new guild. Even given the title and position as the team captain due to his past action as a team leader and making sure his friends got out of a lot of dangerous situation unscatched.

Now if only he can do something about the damn guild being called the Moron Squad...

Like, jesus! this guy went from a lot of redesigns as he started out as a human, then a half dragon, then a half fox, then a full fox, then back to half fox, and now he is a cat boy.
