The realm of Asgard is a more nature based realm full of mysticism, savagery and honor. It's influence is felt through out Scandinavia and Celtic parts of the world. Hold in high regard by viking kin as they fight and die in the name of honor. An honorable death would take them to Valhalla while dishonor earns them a one way ticket to Hel's domain in Tartarus.
Within the heart of the realm is Yaggdrasil: The Tree of Life while the rest of the realm holds many gods, mortal and immortal lands that they would call home that they are ready to fight and protect. Magic and Life elements is at is strongest here in this realm as well as super strength, ideal to become warriors, hunters, wizards or even druids. Whiles these lands can have their enchanting landscapes, they are also filled with danger as many monsters live within the land as well.
Top of all the lands and only can be crossed over with the Rainbow bridge is Valhalla. All of as guard is ruled over by the All-Father Odin and many warrior Gods like Thor, Hodr, Tyr, Loki, Vidar, Njord and Bragi that will travel through out Asgard and beyond to fight any threat or in the name of honor. The realm it's self is protected by The Watcher: Heimdall who see all that happens in the realm and even his sight can see beyond the boundaries of Asguard itself and knows when a fellow god or warrior needs to be picked up.
Among the highlander parts of the realm are Alfheim: Land of the Elves and Vanaheim: Land of the Fae. The Elves are keepers of magic and wisdom while the Fae are watchers over nature as well as being tricksters. On down is Midgard: Land of mortals and the makers, mortals must like the humans on Earth but still have their magic channels still open. The Makers are slightly larger than humans but smaller than giants. The Makers are tasked with building worlds and realms, as well using runic magic to create constructs. Below in the underlands are Jontunheim: Land of Giants and Svartalheim: Land of the Dwarves and the Dark Elves. The Giants normally have honor must like the vikings and other are like monsters in folk lores. The Dwarves lives deep in caves building cities of iron and stone within mountains and often fighting with the Dark Elves whom is rumored to practice demonic, vampiric or eldritch magics, making them more monster than elf.
Lastly are the two side lands, Muspelheim: Home of the Eternal Flame and Niflheim: Land of Mists. Muspelheim is a volcanic land, home to the most powerful of dragons, reborn from the mortal realm to live as protectors here or naturally born. Niflheim is a cold land, cloaked in a thick mist with many monsters that live as part of the mists themselves.
In an age long forgotten, the mortals of earth and the elves and mortals of Asgard had a connection and work together to fight off evils of the past and their dark armies. However that bond was shattered when the Valkyrie: Angels of War and their mother goddess: Freyja corrupted the hearts of men and caused them to turn against their elven and dwarven allies. Thus cause them to exodus in Asgard and cut off the connection between Earth and Asgard. While there are some human civilizations in Asgard, most of the Elves don't trust them and those who hate them more turn to darker practices to get their revenge on the humans of Earth. As punishment for this act against humanity, Odin cursed Freyja and her Valkyrie and their future kin lines that in order to survive, they would have to drink the horrors of hatred and war...
Though Asgard remains as either place of ascension or to enjoy a more medieval lifestyle (to live their lord of the rings/world of warcraft life style), one consent rule is followed. Honor! No matter the battle, never forsake it!
Rumor has is that the Titan: Gaia is imprisoned under Yggdrasil... but there hardly any proof and only Odin would know... but he won't tell.
