One day a girl wizard Silamia Foxtar decided to introduce her best friend to her grandmother - the forest witch Velmar. The girl's best friend turned out to be the black magical dragon Gromozak, a magic-eater.
Having flown on the back of the huge Gromozak to visit the old woman, Silamia could not imagine that her grandmother would be very happy with the news about her granddaughter's good, big and faithful dragon friend. The flight went smoothly. It was a bright day, eleven o'clock in the afternoon. There were sparse puffy clouds in the light blue sky.
In gratitude for Gromozak's friendship with Silamia, the girl wizard's grandmother fed the monster canned magical energy from her dungeon cellar. The super dragon was uncomfortable refusing Velmar's offer to feed him. So the hundred-foot-long Gromozak dragon, blushing heavily with its cheeks, lay down on its belly in the large forest clearing in front of the old witch's dark green two-story house. The black dragon opened its mouth and began to absorb magic from various jars and vessels, which were brought to him by gray flying magic cats-familiars with long fluffy tails and green eyes - Velmar's assistants.
The super-monster, before flying to Velmar, had enlarged himself just in case, so that he was even over a hundred meters tall. But then Gromozak reduced the muscles of his body in order to look skinny and not to frighten the elderly witch-woman with his huge pumping. Now the ancient dragon regretted it. Because Grandmother Velmar, being very slender herself, seeing the skinny winged lizard, sincerely felt sorry for him and decided to feed the good dragon almost to the limit.
- "Just so I don't burst,"- thought Gromozak, closing his mouth to suck the mana out of the jars the cats had put there. The monster, half-closing its yellow, glowing eyes, lazily wiggled its long tail. - "If I burst, I will greatly disappoint Silamia.... And her grandmother too... Though, of course, I can't die from the self-explosion. But I'd hate to see that I've... Abruptly deflated."
Gromozak spat the emptied cans out to the left. Then he opened his long, toothy mouth heroically, seeing that two Familiar cats had flown up to it, carrying a large, three-meter-high, light ash-colored amphora with large oval handles on the sides, held by magical assistants. The cats themselves looked worried. They looked anxiously at the dragon's bloated, large oval belly, on which the monster lay like a pillow.
- Your friend is roomy, - Silamia's grandmother marveled, her shoulder-length silver-gray hair glistening as she and her granddaughter stood nearby. She watched as the familiars poured a light blue glistening liquid essence - concentrated magical energy turned into a glowing liquid - into Gromozak's mouth. - This amphora contains my best supply of mana. I've been infusing it for the past fifty years...
The familiars pulled the dark cork from the top of the vessel with their tails and tilted it carefully to pour the precious infusion down the dragon's throat. The monster lifted its head, greedily gulping down the magical liquid, eyes bulging. The ancient dragon's stomach and chest inflated before his eyes in huge balls, creaking like latex. Grandmother's mana tincture was so much to Gromozak's liking that the dragon, swallowing nervously, bulged his eyes even more and stuck out his red tongue so as not to lose a single drop of the rare treat. It would also make the super-monster noticeably stronger and more capacious.
- Wait!! - Silamia was frightened. Her long black hair mussed up more, and her pale face became even lighter. Even the girl's green eyes darkened, out of fear for her friend. - And Gromozak from this concentrate.... He won't get poisoned?!
- Don't worry. No, of course not, - granny replied, adjusting the gray belt on her dark green hooded cloak with the hood pulled back. - I regularly cleaned the vessel of any negative energies.....
- Thank you, - the wizard girl said with a dumbfounded look of sincere gratitude, placing her left palm on the edge of her diamond-shaped dark gray cloak with a green question mark in the center.
Underneath Silamia's cloak was a narrow black magical armor, more like a jumpsuit, which Foxtar was very proud of, as it did not restrain her movements and had the properties of thermoregulation of the body, cooling the magician in the heat and warming her in the cold.
The concentrated liquid mana quickly ran out. Gromozak exhaled noisily, immediately laying his head down in the grass. With a happy lick, he closed his eyes.
- Why is your dragon friend so... Strange? - Granny suddenly asked. - And why does he only eat magic? Is it really...
- Gromozak is a magic-eater dragon, - replied Velmar's granddaughter, her cheeks flushed. - To be honest, I didn't deserve such a very good and loyal friend.... You don't even know what I've been doing these past years. But I'm glad that Gromozak is friends with me... - Foxtar smiled sincerely. - And for his sake, I'm willing to do a lot of things...
