I read Lovecraft again, lately. Whilst reading one of the volumes I had, I came upon one short story that inspired me to make a painting, per say!
One of the short stories written by Lovecraft was "The Music of Erich Zahn", the tale of a mute, german violinist who played otherwordly and violent melodies each evening to drive off an entity that disguised itself as the night, outside his window. In the end, Erich is caught by the one outside his window who bursts in during a failed session. He disappears, and so does the street where he lived.
I made a piece that represented the climax of the work. It seems I need to improve my abilities to draw facial expressions and how to better paint older characters, no?
Oh, well. It's not that poorly composed and I achieved something good! I am usually having a bit of a mental block when it comes to painting. It's good to finally be back to work!
Anyhow, I curse you with a mighty fine day, dear reader! I hope all goes well for you! ^v^
