To put it simply, it's an evolution of the original barcode. It holds information that can be quickly and easily pulled up on most camera smartphones or QR barcode readers. It holds information in it's pattern (Like a barcode, but more advanced) including names, dates, email addresses, mailing addresses, websites, and much much more advanced stuff too. In this instance, I am using it to hold my information kinda like a furry business card. If I were to put all of my contact info in it )like phone number and such), someone could scan it and instantly have all of the information I put in it on their phone without having to manually type it in.

It says theres no Mii in it

Okay, I just changed it to a more advanced code of the exact same thing. (You'll have to refresh the page.) It should correct 30% of errors now. If you still get an error, it's not the code. It's your decoder.

Is it possible to read them without the camera thingy?

You need a QR scanner of some sort. The most common is a free app on smartphones called 'Barcode Scanner' which reads barcodes and QR codes using your phone's camera.

Though I just quickly googled QR decoder and came up with this:

I uploaded the direct link to the picture on this page and it worked for me, decoding it. But I have it already decoded in the description.

When I try to scan it using that page, it says ''no barcode found'' D: freaking thingy ><

The URL field has extra crap in it, unless that's because of the way RedLaser is decoding it.

i didint even know this kind of thing exsisted untill i checked it with my phone. this is pretty awesome
