A long time ago I had a design of Aymp, in which she was a phoenix and this design is still my favorite. So, I decided to rethink it a bit and make edits to the current image.
Aymp is closely tied to the dream world, and that's roughly how I see her final appearance. Let's call it a legendary skin. In the process of accepting all her mistakes, desires, and her own powers, she will be reborn as a beautiful phoenix, and will guard the real world from being infiltrated by demons from the dream world.
This work took me about 12 hours of time in total. For the first time in a long time I was in no hurry and sat painting for my own pleasure. However, at some point I got carried away and lost the understanding of where the light falls on her. But in general it's not very critical.
Therefore, it seems to me, and you too in the future, make yourself a simplified cheat sheet with a map of shadow and light.
I would love to hear your opinion on this work. Whether I should continue to further develop this rendering technique in my further works.
Personally, I really like it. It's a kind of a small victory for me!
