the Samand is an uncommon breed: with its own independent FTL drive and both bulk solid and fluid cargo capacity, it is rarely seen plying the spacelanes between major trade ports, but instead is mainly used to supply rapid base-building and operations staging in rural areas and frontier territories. i wanted to try designing something bulbous and un-sleek, like the art deco-inspired ships from the star wars prequels.
