Honestly, I'm not really sure why I insist on inserting these little updates at the start of submissions that I re-upload here... usually they provide insights as to why I haven't been uploading very frequently and what I plan on posting next going forward, but I don't think it's anything that people would care to read about in the description of an art post and would be more suitable for a journal entry. Call it an OCD tic, I guess. I feel compulsively obligated to include a few paragraphs of text in the descriptions of all my reuploads, even if the information provided isn't even relevant to the image itself. Let's just say I haven't been posting as of late because things are quite... I don't know, busy, in my personal life. That's all I'll say here.
This atmospheric piece was illustrated by Exagono16 on DeviantArt (https://www.deviantart.com/exagono16)! Once again featuring August and his recurrent kobold/wolf companion, Cederic, who belongs to
RodonEndwell. It was also commissioned by him I think? Honestly, it's been so long I'm not sure how many of these I had a part in, haha... anyway! I'm very fond of this piece; it's very dazzling and beautiful, and the scenery is fantastic. August and Cederic are the central characters, and yet, it also doesn't feel focused on them, moreso on the land that they'd traversing... and it's all spectacularly abstract and painted looking, could frame this. Like, it's literally my tablet's home screen image, that's how nice it is. Exagono outdid themselves with it!
August may spend a lot of time walking around on two legs, where it would be pretty hard to ride him, sure. But if you ask nicely, he's still plenty capable of carrying someone across distances and serving as a noble Sawsbuck steed! And so, that's how August helps Cederic on their travels together... but where are they? How did they get there? What fantasy land have they found that's so grand and enormous? I'm not sure... but isn't the view beautiful?
Just make sure not to annoy August while riding him. Else he might yeet you off.
