Here’s a close-up of my Jaromin Boondocker’s headstock. One of the things that becomes readily apparent is that it has four strings. From top-to-bottom in this photo (or low-to-high in pitch), they are tuned GDG with the high strings forming a pair. Those strings are an octave apart, unlike the high pair of my Seagull Merlin, which are simply doubled. That thick G string on top gives this instrument a nice deep tone.
