This is an old, old character of mine, Alexei, from a story series I wrote called Space Invaders. I never gave him a last name. The stories weren't very good, though I enjoyed writing them at the time. I suppose if nothing else they served to improve my writing over time! The basic idea is Alexei is a lion with super powers which led him to being abducted by power-hungry aliens, and through a series of events lost his arm only to have it replaced by an alien prosthetic.
Here we see him taking a little break from the space adventuring to enjoy a beer alone in the cockpit. I'm not sure what he's looking at, perhaps he's thinking about the next mission. He must have some concerns, who knows!
I drew this with the idea of including him in
Kattanaita's Card Game, which will be revealed in greater detail sometime in the future, so look out for more designs! What actions would YOU pair with an Alexei card?
