Angry Birds anyone: http://media.playhaven.com/X6haaqLE.....ngry-birds.jpg
Hah, I was about to guess Brewer's Blackbird, but then I saw that SOMEONE beat me to it in the keywords.
His body language says he's actually pretty calm; if he were actually angry or threatened, he'd puff out drastically. But there I go again, ruining other people's fun with my down-to-earth logic...
This is one of those one-in-a-million photos.

Stitch, you really do get some really amazing shots. I have no idea how you catch these animals in these kind of poses. This really reminds me of the infamous "Angry Bluebird" image, even if it's not all puffed up like Nogo mentioned. I'd buy a coffee mug with this image on it. You really ought to market some of this stuff, a lot of your other shots would be perfect for things like comedic birthday cards or calenders or all the other things they use animal pictures for.
It's always great to see your photos, thanks a lot for sharing them here Stitch. Good luck with everything! ^^

Thank you kindly, it really makes my day to hear that folks enjoying my pix as much as they do. I've yet to really look into what it takes to try and sell or otherwise make a profit from this sort of thing... I'm interested, but completely ignorant. It's one of those "wait for a rainy day and then do your homework" sort of things. Getting such positive feedback really encourages me, though. :3
Nah, it's almost certainly a Brewer's. Common Grackles are larger (adults being about a foot long from tip to tail... this little guy was maybe six or seven). Grackles also have a somewhat longer neck, tail and bill. Their plumage is iridescent green or purple up around the head, with a bronze tint to the body. Also, while they're not entirely unheard of in California, they tend to stay east of the Rockies and are quite rare for the bay area.
