New character~ he is a thylacine, shadow demon creature.
I think he is interesting, at least in his anatomy.. He has no organs other than his heart and brain, the rest is simply a black void, a bit like a black hole. He also has an alternate, more monstrous form (which I have yet to design..)
He also needs a name, but I'm bad at thinking of good names.
I wanted to put lots of fur detail to make it more realistic, but I'm pretty tired of working on this. :/ Maybe I will detail it if I get enough interest/motivation. *Shrugs*

Oh wow...
I can't imagine how this would look if you'd detailed the fur even more; it looks amazing already.
I've been hoping to see a predatory thylacine for quite a while, so this is quite an awesome character you've got here! The shadowy effects are really nicely done since they manage to stay somewhat subtle without obscuring too much detail. He's got a good build too and I think you did great on the anatomy; his belly looks especially nice. >_>
I really hope you do more stuff with him, maybe a continuation of this even. Or does anything he eats seem to disappear? I kinda want to see how he looks with a swollen belly full of prey now. X3

Thank you! <3
I'll definitely be drawing him more, I love him.
Yeah, anything he eats pretty much disappears, so he would in theory be able to eat anything that fits into his throat. I'm not much into big swollen/full bellies though, so I likely won't be drawing him with one. x3;

I hope you do draw him more! I'm probably not into bellies from vore like a lot of others are though; I like to keep the bulge to a realistic range if possible. All the oversized bellies make me completely uninterested in an image. I was just really hoping to see what he looked like with a reasonable amount of swelling, but it's your character to do what you want with.
What exactly is he eating anyway? The tail seemed kind of rabbit or bear like, but the really clawed feet throw me off. XD
Now I'm also wondering how soon the inside of him changes from flesh to shadowy stuff. Does the empty space start just inside of his throat as it appears it might here? Is the empty space limited to the shape it can fill inside his body or would the unfortunate prey feel as if they were dropping into a bottomless void? I'm just curious if there is any sign, even briefly, of the presence of his prey in this throat or belly at all when he eats them. Also how much can he eat? Is there any sort of limitation on how much he can take into himself given his unusual nature?
It interests me because I'd considered the idea once of if a deity or demon figure could store away anything they ate in some alternate 'space' that entrapped any prey in a sort of timeless stasis that they swallowed just before or a while after they reached the stomach, and they would only become apparent again once released back into the belly for more normal digestion, allowing said creature to keep eating and eating if it so wished.
Also, does he not have lungs since you said he only has the heart and brain? He might need lungs to use his nose, talk, and have a reason for his heart to pump something around such as air, since however his digestive system functions is clearly a mystery, and I'm not sure if any part of his prey somehow reaches his blood stream in some form or another. :P
And perhaps you don't actually have an answer yet, but what actually happens when he eats someone in there? Do they survive a while? Do they change into more shadowy energy? What does it feel like in terms of the sensations or temperature or sound, or even gravity since the inside might be very abnormal. His prey at least appears as if it might still be putting up a bit of a fight by its one leg so if it's already in contact with his strange insides it clearly isn't instantly fatal.
I also forgot to say I really like the teeth and drooly tongue. They really help emphasize a predator's features and give them a somewhat dangerous appearance I thinks works really well, same thing with his claws.
I do see you're closed to requests, but nevertheless I unofficially 'request' that you keep drawing this guy eating things. XD
Also maybe you could note me about your commission price ranges for the types you offer? I didn't see that information anywhere aside from the headshots journal you have up and am rather curious now, given the skill you've shown with character anatomy and detailing so far.

FFFFFFF... Sorry for replying so late! I haven't been able to get on long enough to answer all your questions. XD
lol, same here.. Impossibly bloated balloon-bellies totally ruin a piece for me.
Uhh... I imagined it to be some female rabbit type, with long claws, because all the bunnies I've known have had badly clipped nails, so that's how I end up imagining them. x3
The space would usually begin just inside his throat, but it would change based on how far into his demonic form he is. The prey would feel like it is going into a bottomless, pitch-black void, as if it were in outer-space. Weightless, in absolute darkness. It would have no sense of time or sound, unless the predator felt like playing with the victim's mind. Since it is in essence a separate dimension within himself, he would have control of the physics and material within it. There would be a bulge in his throat while he is swallowing the prey, and maybe in his belly if the prey was large enough. I imagine he could eat quite a bit, but he only eats what he needs and what he could hold in 'storage'- as he wouldn't want the prey to die/decay before he needs to absorb it. He could probably hold as much as he wanted, but he wouldn't take in more than he needs, as the more matter he has inside him, the slower/more easily fatigued he would become.
Hm, I didn't even think of how important lungs would be for some reason. xD; But thinking about it now, yes, he would have lungs. Arteries and veins too, though I'm not entirely sure how they would be distributed or fully work. But in his shadow form, he wouldn't have any organs, other than a heart, for some symbolic reason. In that form, he wouldn't need to talk, breathe, or think since his actions would be based on instinct. In that form, he would envelop and absorb prey.
How long the prey survives depends on how long he wants it to survive, and how distressed the prey becomes. I already kind of explained how it would feel inside the void, but it is a dimension within the demon's shadowy body, but the bounds of it could be nearly limitless. He is able to control the physics, temperature, weather, visuals, creations, etc. of it.
Thank you! Teeth and tongues are some of my favorite things to draw.
I'll be drawing him more for sure! In all of his shadowy/freaky forms, yay. c:
Sure I'll note ya right now!

Yeah I like there to be a notable point where the abdominal musculature starts giving way around the regions the prey is located, rather than simply having it not there at all like a balloon.
Oh so it was a rabbit! I'd started to think maybe it might be a bobcat too. My parents had a biiiig 13 pound rabbit so I'm quite familiar with the things claws can do just because the big rabbit doesn't realize how sharp they are. XD
Hmm, now I really want to see him with someone down his throat large enough to at least make his stomach swell out some. It would feel weird for the prey to have the insides sliding by them only to suddenly feel nothing. So once they are swallowed into him they aren't necessarily going to be immediately absorbed into his body then. Sounds like depending on how bored he is he could really mess with their heads while they're entrapped within him; makes me curious if someone could cause enough mischief within him to find a way to escape his belly, or if there would be a way to temporarily make his alternate space function incorrectly so he couldn't get them down any further than his holding space inside of his body. It would be very interesting to see what sort of interactions he might be able to have within that space with someone he's merely storing for later absorption. Something like that just feels like quite the opportunity for putting some real emotions into writing, which I like doing. I'm still wondering what the experience is like when he absorbs them into himself though; if there's much if any sensation as limbs fall away, what the mind experiences as it is drawn into him... :o
I am also curious if one would be able to hear anything going on in there if they were to listen to his belly with an ear, risky as trying to do something like that would be, I'm not sure I could resist. I can't help it, it looks so rubbable.XD
In his shadow form a 'heart' could simply function as a core which is needed to control his shadowy extensions. Collected energy needs a point to bind it after all. I really hope to see something where that form absorbs something and to hear about the process. The 'heart' may also store the information needed to return him to his more conservative form as well as memories and skills. In effect, that heart would need to be protected!
So stress can be a factor controlling how long his prey survive or resist being absorbed? Interesting... Or might he merely decide to absorb them sooner if they're really putting up a fuss?
