That's indeed a very highly-requested feature. I see Nintendo do that, TBH.
I was never really all that excited about DS's Mission Mode, and sorry to hurt you by saying this, but... it's kind of overrated. Although I would absolutely love its potential inclusion in this new game, for all people who DO like the missions. I would play them if they were in this game.

That kinda sucks. You could download it back on the Wii U through the éShop, but that's dead now, unfortunately.
Modding your system is an option, but that takes a lot of knoledge and work. But I believe with some help from a YouTube video or two, i would be possible to play MKDS on a Wii U or even on Switch, or even the Switch 2!
