Why the number?
Thats the number for my favorite forest service road here in Washington State.
It's not particularly muddy sans that of the numerous pot-holes or slow riding it takes to grind up it, but thats not its allure.
In the summer it leads to many offshoots that offer spectacular views and scenery, also if you are in the know, it leads far into the backcountry beyond cel-signal and wires to an enjoyable natural hot-spring mineral bath. Hippies wander these parts so the pool is very much a clothing optional sort of experience. I'm not so into that, but whatever does it for ya. I have aches and pains associated with my reality thus this wonderful hot springs is a wonderful escape.

Unfortunately I am at the mercy of the weather. The areas that I enjoy playing in are under a few feet of snow and it's cold as heck up there. Best I can accomplish at the moment is chilly weather photography.
Last winter season it was very warm outside (compared to this year). It was in the 50's vs the mid to upper 20f's. I can tolerate some cold, but I'm not risking hypothermia. Wish I could have better less chilly weather!!!
