I would recommend that you inspect it for oil leaks and check to make sure that the entire intake and air control systems are working properly. Mine had some issues when I bought it used.
After fixing those, it has been extremely reliable with no major issues, it eats speed bumps and potholes for breakfast. If you can, go for the manual option
