Nice! My character is an alien so while some would use it for scientific curiosity, mine would use it to find what could be hidden star systems imprinted in the stomach and maw, kinda like a map that either fate, genetic engineered imprinting or simply fate of the universe or magic would entail. What's more is his ability to neurologically hack into the nervous system via touch and thereby sending signals, it is generally a harmless and painless or at time pleasant process. However it is where there is an indication that some nerve fibers act as spacelanes leading from star to star. Whether your character is aware of this or not is up to you.

I think in Cosmic’s case it’s more a map to all the different realities they are a part of. One of the other versions of Cosmic might be better able to actually traverse between those realities, but the best Cosmic can do is flying into the cosmos like the world’s slowest rocket ship (they don’t need to breathe and their galaxy parts are immune to pressure and heat)
But hey, if their genetic mapping helps another pony learn reality travel that’s also pretty neat!

Yeah! All of my Sonas are connected via realities, as my main Sona innately makes new versions of themselves for every reality they encounter. (So through forms of media and such!) So it makes a whole lot of sense!
