After we came back, from the pandemic (covid's first run) we had donations waiting for us ALL over the place. Within that pile, we had 2 gallons of moonshine!! Being a good Appalachian gal-child, I knew what it looked like, smelled like, and knew the dangers of drinking unknown hooch. So I immediately threw it away. Damn (giggles) Been nice for the staff :).

The reason is; when it's made you always toss the first bit away, cause it's [methanol or what we call "The devil's brew" which can kill, cause blindness, or other nasty effects. Also if it's brewed in old car radiators (an old technique, rarely done now) there's a saying "If it burns red, it'll kill Fred" (contains lead) So, as you can see. Best I threw it away.

Drink his hooch? Hell no! Make my own first THEN stich me.

I'd drink it, and I'd make damn sure I had something I could bite down on.
