Here is a view of her large front eyes. It's not as clear as i would like, but it looked too neat not to share. Notice the reflection of the light, like a cat almost.

I tend to automatically refer to spiders in the female gender, since that's what you tend to see most often.
However, this is definitely a female. Males of this species have unusually long and often differently colored chelicerae (the mouth parts that contain the fangs).
