Goliath? as in Goliath Birdeater? wow ive only heard of them and seen them on national geographic they say they get really big.. like twice as big as he is now.. sorry my mind is just blown those are incredible arachnids and very beautiful too. what is his temperament like?
Tbh he looks kinda small in this pic. He is bigger than a dinner plate irl.
His fangs are a good 2 inches long.
The only rason i picked him up like this is cuz my sister wanted to see him. He jumped outa his tank on to my bed XD
I didnt wanna be sleeping with him all night so i had to restrain hold him and get him back to his home XD

Not quite x3 i could wiggle a dead mouse in his face and he would eat it but i mostly feed them on live bugs, just the bigger ones like him have mice. They will eat pretty much anything they van tackle, goliaths in the wild have been known to steel chickens from peoples back gardens x3
How are chickens not extinct when theyre SO delicious that EVERYTHING eats them?! X>
But Im still kinda curious what a spider like this would or wouldnt eat... and how they eat. most spiders pre-digest their food from the inside out, dont they? And they wrap up their food in webbing? Do these goliaths go OMNOMNOM munchchewgulp? X>

Yea they digest there food befor they eat it wich is why i dont like feeding them meat because it smells >.<
Well they wouldnt eat things like froot, veg, most meats humans and animals eat xp and they do like there food like but when i wiggle a dead mouse infront of his face it fools him into thinking it alive wich is why he jumps for it x3
Somtimes i can hear them munching on the crickets x3 and yea they do put a thin layer of silk over there food to stop it falling apart.
