I honestly didn't even notice the line oddly enough? I figured maybe it was a design choice or structural integrity for the clip hoop? Idk I don't mind it at all! Also yes, I love that apple core too!!! If you ever want to I'm a sucker for granny Smith / sour apples and it'd be so cute to have a sour apple one to match that green clip! x3
