Before Alvar got his demonic magic makeover into beautiful but fucked up, he was a very troubled half demon (half displacer beast demon and half Astral elf). Born and bred to be a power conduit and a permanent pilot to a spell ship with no other choice in the matter. He'd fallen in love with another helmsman trainee, an Astral Elf woman. They planned to run off together during their traditional last trip to the material plane. But when he failed to return and she did she got offered his original job: Pilot if the fleets largest battle cruiser. How could she refuse! 20 years passed for Alvar in the material plane becoming a warlock and when he came to the astral planes to look for his love with his master he was literally shot down. His own people didn't recognize him in his new form, and certainly weren't happy with the elder black dragon he was partnered with showing up demanding they let it land on deck.

The betrayal by his people and his so called first love was perfect for his dragon master. After all if he had no one else in life, they were the only one who cared and he should stay by their side. he'd spend another 30 years with his dragon master on the material plane.

TLDR: Alvar's original form before becoming an incubus-powered pretty warlock. he still forgets that he doesn't have a tail sometimes and ducks in doorways despite being shorter now and not having horns.
