Rosalina "Rose" Clarkson is a vampire-wolf, born and raised in New Sim City. During her high school years she met a country fox named Billy Bob Miller, who worked as the face and fry-cook of Billy Bob's Fish Camp. They hit it off surprisingly well and eventually developed romantic feelings towards each other... Now Billy's family took a liking to Rose, even finding her vampirism to be very cool and interesting, but Rose's father couldn't stand Billy: "He's using you for our wealth! You're a Clarkson: You could do a heck of a lot better than some fish fryer!" were his exact words... but they'd still sneak out at night to see each other quite often.
Finally they graduated and they took the first chance they got to move in together, even if it meant Rosalina being disowned by her family. They started looking for a house within their budget of $10000 and found it pretty quick "It might not be the most fanciest place... we can keep looking if you'd like?" Billy said as they walked into an old rustic cabin on a hill in the countryside, to which Rose replied "No! It's perfect. It just needs some TLC and maybe some new shingles." and that was that.
5 months later the place was nice and cozy, but it only left them with $1100, which wouldn't be that bad, but Rose discovered that she had gotten pregnant! Rose was scared, but Billy reassured her that he'd work extra hard to provide for her and their child. She mentioned job hunting after the delivery but Billy being his tough yet sweet self convinced her that one of them would have to stay behind to look after their kid. They started thinking of names and came up with Rosalee for a girl, and as for boy names Billy liked Redd and Rose liked Carlos. Billy being Billy said "Carlos it is then."
Everything was going so good, Rosalina was at the end of her 2nd trimester until she got a knock on the door. She opened the door to find Billy's mother, Reese, standing there with a sad look on her face. She explained that The Fish Camp went up in flames when one a gas leak had sprung in the kitchen. Billy rushed in to make sure everyone got out, his father James going in after him. The building blew up, ejecting James through a window. He survived with just a broken arm, but Billy was nowhere to be seen. a charred corpse was later recovered and identified as Billy... Billy had died in the explosion!
There was a memorial service, where they split Billy's ashes amongst his family and shared good memories and stories to try easing the heartache everyone felt. After the service, Billy's father stopped Rose. "I know legally we're only in-laws, b-but you're more than that to us: You're a part of this family. If you ever need ANYTHING AT ALL, you come see us, got it? oh, by the way, we all had life insurance. Since this was a simple service, there's some leftover funds. Billy would want you to have it, and so do we. Do keep us posted on little Carlos." to which Rose replied "Carlos? No no no. I've changed my mind on the baby name. Billy liked the name Redd, so from this moment the baby will be Redd Miller. The money is okay I guess, but nothing can bring back Billy!" And she lost it on his shoulder...
A few months later Redd was born. He favored his father more which Rose was perfectly fine with. She realized since Billy was gone she needed to arrange a babysitter so she could go find a source of income. She took James' offer on needing anything and Reese stepped in as a babysitter while Rosalina put on some sunscreen and took on work as a construction worker. She also started growing plasma fruit so she'd no longer have to rely on compelling others.
Things are looking good: Rose has already been promoted once and is impressing her bosses. Meanwhile at home her gardening is very successful: She's got a new pet: a Cowplant she decided to name Bella. She's slowing down with breast feeding and starting to experiment with various baby foods, and so far the only flavors Redd likes is sweet potatoes, carrots, and pumpkin which is a decent enough variety.
