Leopold DeDraver proposes project Unicorn in front of parliament.

Since the split between the north and south of Belgium in 2025 after decades of rising tensions between the two regions, the country is in economic decline expedited by terror attacks by those who had opposed the split. With resources and local food supplies dwindling combined with a shortage of workers something had to be done to keep the country from total collapse. Leopold had been working in secret for years on illegal genetic research untill the BioLife incident kickstarted a global arms race to create various morphs. So now that the creation of morphs had become common and soon to be legalised Leopold proposes his project as a solution to the workers shortage, his research sped up thanks to leaked data obtained from the BioLife labs, though still technically illegal at the time his project was accepted and he would soon create the first proto Dravers, improving them over the years them over the years to slowly work out the flaws. Soon enough there were many first generation Dravers working the fields drastically increasing food production, though the human population had concerns about adding more mouths to feed, but the Dravers were specifically designed for field work while requiring as little food as possible, hence why Leopold had chosen a pony as the basis for Dravers, a compact size meant that more could be housed in the same space as a full sized horse, and their digestive system was designed to be very efficient at extracting nearly all nutrients from food meaning they would have less of an impact on the food supply. As the food supply increased and Dravers remained on the fields they became more or less accepted by humans. It would be untill after the Gene Wars that they were fully accepted as they helped rebuild society and the country and project Unicorn was considered a success at last.

Unfortunately Leopold did not survive the Gene Wars to witness the great reconstruction but his son took over his research and kept making improvements with the aid of shared data from other created morphs untill they became the Dravers we see today. Sadly Leopold's son was assasinated shortly after Dravers were given their freedom, by one of the re-emerging humanity first groups. Nearly Every Draver in the New Benelux would attempt attend the funeral to honor one of their creators, on that day the Dravers had grown up and now had to find their own path in life but they were determined to make their creators proud, though it would be a while before Dravers would at last set step out of New Benelux and make themselves known to the world...and perhaps beyond to the stars.
