Over half an hour passed, Artison hobbled along as Mira walked from between and up trees to patches of flowers that embraced the sun. Eventually, the two laid in tall grass just to rest, back by the river bank. Artison rested his eyes as he laid beside Mira, but Mira was still taking in a lot of this. A touch of home was still in this world, in some way, and Artison helped her to see that. There was something else she kept looking to as well, the kingdom in the horizon, and the other landmarks in the distance.

She sat up and looked to Artison, "Arty, thank you for this."

"Tiz my pleasure." Artison said, not opening his eyes.

"Well, Mind if I show you something cool now? Artison immediately sat up and looked to her.

"You know how I use Hysteria, right?" Mira said, "To make portals to paces I've been? Well... I've been cross the land now..."

Artison's hears started to perk up, "You could make a portal from here all the way back to home?"

"Maybe?" Mira smiled, "I'm thinking to try that out."

"Do it, do it!" Artison starte getting up, eyes wide and tail wagging with excitement.

Mira only chuckled and she stood up. Waiving her hands, she channeled hysteria and looked to the distant city that was their home. The portal opened and... It was still was really far away. The ground on the other side of the portal looked different, but the city was still so distant.

"Hmmm... let me take a look." Artison said, and stepped through the portal, then he stepped back through, "Seems there is a limit to the distance of this hysteria, but still greatly versatile." His tail was wagging.

"So, it's not broken or anything?" Mira looked to him hopeful.

"Of course not," Artison said, "I certainly hope not. You probably just have to do it several times. Are you willing to try it?"

Mira's tail wagged, "Yeah, let's do it!" and then she jumped through the portal too.

"We should be back in a few minutes, Loretta!" Artison waved just before the portal closed.




Sure enough, a few minutes had passed since the two teleported away, then it started to take even longer. Loretta took some leniency, believing they would be safe. then one of her crew hands came running over.

"Captain Loretta." He said, "You're brother is reaching out through the radio."

Loretta came down and grabbed the controls, "Artison, Brother, where are you?"

"Loretta, there you are." Artison said back over the radio, "Um, two things. First, we did make it back to the penthouse, we're fine. The second part is that Mira is exhausted from using those portals so much. We will not be able to make the journey back to you... Loretta... Sister?..."

Loretta was quiet for a bit, a soft chuckle escapes her, "Alright, just stay up top, and we'll meet again after I'm done with patrols." Then she signed off and took full command of her crew. under her breath, a thought escaped her, "Hopefully she remembers to tell him."
